I have completed the english course College Writing 1101. I have taken it for a quarter and learned many things while taking this course. I have thoughts about the class regarding things I would have done differently and I have advice for future students.
Through this class, I have gained more knowlege about grammar and writing. I feel my grammar has improved over the past two months. This class has also prepared me for college courses in my future. I understand the expectations for a college writing class now. During the course of College Writing 1101, I was able to come up with fun and relevant topics for my papers and I was able to think creatively. Overall, I gained a better sense of grammar and a better sense of writing techniques through taking College Writing 1101.
There were some things I feel should have been done differently in class. A lot of work time was provided to research and work on the major paper assignments. However, I did not accomplish very much during these times. I got very bored of researching things in class. I also feel a college class might not allow that much work time in the computer lab. I should have used this time provided better. Still, I do not know if the class needs as much time as was provided.
If a younger student was to ask me about College Writing 1101, I would urge them to take the class. I believe it prepares students for future courses taken in college. I would advice them to be prepared and use their work time wisely. Also, it is important when taking this class to be organized. This will help them majorly.
I am very glad that I was able to take College Writing 1101. My grammar and writing skills have improved. I am better prepared for college because of the skills obtained from this class. Some of those skills include organization and persistance. This class has benefited me, and I am thankful for the opporunity to take College Writing 1101.
